I played with bracketing and exposure this weekend. AE lock may have helped with the bird so white and mud so dark. The Nisqually sky was cloudy and gray.
Great shot. I've been out on the Nisqually trying to see this reported Great White Egret. This is a rare visitor to the PNW. You not only saw it, you shot it............way to go!
